The crimp height measurement must be performed in such a manner that the crimp barrel on the free-cut bar of the fixed measuring side piece rests cleanly and the measuring tip surface (0.6x0.6mm) gages both in the length and width "at dead center" without the cant of the ridge of the crimp. The measurement should be made with the application of only a small amount of pressure.
