| Solder Masks

Description
PC Flex Mask is a solder mask made of latex rubber without solvent
additives used to protect and cover contacts, switches, circuit
points, plated-through holes and other areas without components
on printed circuit boards during the soldering operation. It can
also be used to protect electronic components from contact with
fluxing and cleaning agents. Afterwards, the mask can be easily
removed and leaves behind no residues, which could have an adverse
effect on components. No additional washing process is necessary.
Application
PC Flex Mask is applied directly onto the intended area from the
plastic bottle with the dispenser nozzle. For optimal adhesion,
the print board should be clean and dry. The mask never runs because
of its thixotropic nature. If necessary, it can be diluted with
distilled water. Thus, larger areas can also be protected by dipping
printed circuit boards. The cure time is about 40 minutes at 26°C.
However, the cure time may vary depending on the thickness of the
applied mask and humidity. During the soldering operation, the mask
withstands temperatures of up to approx. 268°C. Best results
are achieved when the mask is removed as soon as possible after
soldering. Unopened, PC Flex Mask has a shelf life of approximately
six months. It is available in different viscosities and supplied
in three bottle sizes:
8oz (237 ml), 16oz (473 ml), and a gallon container (3.8 l)
